About the game
Night Rate is a free game for iPhone and iPad: a short night shift on a deep-sea station, adapted from a scene of the novel Resonance Fault. You search the station’s records to work out what happened over the last few days. A night takes one or two hours, depending on how much of the record you read.
Playing
Everything is played by touch. Type a word in the search field, or tap one in a record you’ve opened, to search for it; tap a result to open it. The My Notes tab holds Kira’s questions, each with the record that answered it, and her own notes, which you can search the same way.
Saving and continuing
The game saves as you work. If you close it partway, you’ll be offered Continue the watch to carry on where you were, or Start the night again to begin from the start. Your notes from a finished night are kept either way. When you’re signed in to iCloud, they’re also copied to your own iCloud. Deleting the game deletes what’s on the device.
Stuck?
Open My Notes to see which questions are still open, and search for the words that keep coming up in the records. If you go quiet for a while, Kira thinks aloud about the question still open.
Language
Night Rate is in English.
Privacy
The game has no ads, no purchases and no accounts, and collects nothing. See the privacy policy for details.
