In short

Pencil Pairs has no accounts and no servers of its own. We don’t collect your name, email or anything else about you. Ads come from Google AdMob, are never personalized, and only play when you choose to watch one. The game never asks to track you.

Your game progress

Stars, times, streaks, scores and settings are saved on your device. If iCloud is on, they’re also kept in your own iCloud account so they follow you to a new phone. Apple stores that data; we can’t see it.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The game is free because you can watch a short ad for extra hints, undos or refills. Ads only play when you tap a button that says so. Ads in Pencil Pairs are never personalized: the game tells Google not to use your data to choose ads for you, and it never asks to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. To deliver an ad, Google still receives some information, such as your IP address and approximate location, an identifier for this app on your device, how you interact with the ad, and crash and performance data. It’s used to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, not to build an advertising profile of you. In the EU, the UK and other regions that require it, you’re asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy choices. Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

Game Center

If you’re signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple’s Game Center and shown to other players according to your Game Center settings.

Reminders

The optional daily reminder is scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us.

Statistics

The game counts things like levels started and finished on your device, to help us make it better. These counts stay on your device. If you’ve chosen to share data with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple gives us anonymous totals such as installs and crashes.

Children

Pencil Pairs is a general-audience puzzle game and isn’t directed at children under 13.

Your choices

You can change ad consent in Settings → Privacy choices, turn off reminders, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device. Data in iCloud can be removed in your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → iCloud.

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here and on our website, with a new date.
