Everyone needs a place to live. Nobody wants to hear the neighbors.

How do I play?

Move one tenant into every floor (row), every column and every apartment (colored area). Tenants can't live in rooms that touch, not even diagonally. Tap a room once to cross it out, twice to move a tenant in. Drag to cross out many rooms at once. Every puzzle has exactly one answer and can be solved by logic alone, with no guessing. Settings → How to play replays the short tutorial.

I'm stuck. How do hints work?

Tap Hint. First a neighbor points you to the right area. Tap again to read their full complaint letter, which explains the next logical step, and once more to have it done for you. Free players get 3 letters a day; Premium letters are unlimited.

Who are the special tenants?

Bigger buildings bring neighbors with their own rules: the twins live on neighboring floors, nobody may live within 2 rooms of the drummer, the night owl wants the top half of the building, and the dog owner lives on an outside wall or the ground floor. A badge marks their apartment, and each building lists its special tenants under the board.

What's free, and what does Premium add?

The daily puzzle, the Cottage and House levels, your skyline and streaks are free for everyone. Free players also get one Apartment or Tower puzzle (9×9 and bigger) and 3 hint letters a day. Thin Walls Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it unlocks unlimited big buildings and letters, every past daily in the archive, and 2 streak freezes a month, and it removes all video offers.

How do I restore Premium?

Tap the bag icon on the home screen (or Unlock Premium at the top of Settings) and tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought with. Premium works on all your devices.

Do I have to watch ads?

No. Videos only play when you tap a button to watch one, for example for an extra letter or bigger puzzle when you've used today's free ones. Premium players never see ads.

Is my progress saved? Does it move to a new phone?

Every solved building is saved on your device and, when you're signed in to iCloud, synced to your other iPhones and iPads with the same Apple Account, so a new device picks up your skyline, best times and streak. A puzzle you leave halfway is saved too, with its timer paused.

How do the daily puzzle and streaks work?

A new building appears every day at your local midnight, the same one for every player. Solve it on its own day to keep your streak going (you get until 6 a.m. the next morning). Premium streak freezes cover days you miss. The Daily archive has every past daily.

Can the game remind me?

Yes. Open Settings (the gear on the home screen) and turn on the daily reminder at a time you choose, or the evening streak reminder, which only comes if today's daily is still unsolved. To stop them, turn them off there or in your device's Settings → Notifications → Thin Walls.

How do leaderboards and achievements work?

Sign in to Game Center in your device's Settings to post your times to the daily and best-time leaderboards and to earn achievements.

The colors are hard to tell apart.

Turn on Settings → Colorblind patterns to add a texture to every apartment. You can also turn on floor and column labels, switch between light and dark appearance, and choose the tenants' skin tones.

There's no sound.

Check Settings → Sound & haptics, and make sure your iPhone's silent mode is off. Game sounds follow it.
